Regional Vocational Training Centres engagement around an Expert Profile on the agro-industrial by-products valorisation.

Based on the fact that the main objective of Byp4Dev project is to develop a new profile of expert in the valorisation of by-products from the agro-industrial sector, FUNDECYT-PCTEX has contacted with several regional Vocational Training Centres as main actors of the profile development process, and as responsible also for generating talent that will lead to a more sustainable agro-industry.

In this way, on the 18th April 2023 we visited the Vocational Training Center IES Extremadura located in the town of Montijo (Badajoz), and on the 25th May 2023 we travelled to Alburquerque (Badajoz) to visit the Vocational Training Center IES Castillo de Luna.

The aim of this approach has been to share with teachers and students the knowledge, skills and abilities that comprise this expert profile, as well as to gather information about the training needs this type of centre may have in relation to the topic.

We are very happy with the welcome we have received from both teachers and students, and with renewed strength to continue this work.
